Last November 11, Gràfiques VARIAS celebrated an incomparable milestone. With more than 18,000 million labels produced in the wine sector in the last 30 years – the date from which computer records are kept – the company gathered its most important customers to recognize together its history and achievements .
More than 50 attendees attended the celebration organized by Gràfiques VARIAS at its facilities in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia (Barcelona), the world capital of cava. The company wanted to recognize and honor its most outstanding collaborators with an event where it commemorated the printing of the 3,000 million label for each of its three most important clients: Freixenet, Codorníu and the Consell Regulador del Cava.
With state-of-the-art facilities of 5.200 square meters, where modern equipment and state-of-the-art technology stand out, Gràfiques VARIAS showed during the event what its differential value is: its great production capacity that encompasses different systems of impression This feature has made it a very recognized label and sleeve printer.
Josep Varias, general director of Gràfiques VARIAS, recalled that in 2023 the company will celebrate its 105th anniversary and wanted to thank all its customers for their trust: "We have gathered today the 50 most important customers in the sector of quality sparkling wines , which have positioned us as one of the main printers in the country, to recognize our joint trajectory. We are coming from complicated times, with some clouds approaching and making the future difficult for us, but together we have overcome all the adversities of recent times and I have no doubt that we will continue to do so in the coming years."
During the event, which was attended by the mayor of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, Ton Amat, and the Secretary of Business and Competitiveness of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Albert Castellanos, a commemorative plaque was given to all attendees.

Albert Castellanos indicated that Varias Impressors "is a benchmark for the entire sector, not only as a supplier but as a fundamental part of the product". Likewise, he took the opportunity to take stock of the current situation, stressing that although we are coming from complicated times, the "resilience" of the wine sector has been demonstrated: "The business, sales and export figures since 2019 they have gone down, but the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022 is being very positive, with prospects of even surpassing 2019”.
Faced with this situation, Castellanos wished to congratulate the sector and recalled the qualitative elements that this industry contributes to the country's economy: "There is a high-quality product segment that is progressing at a very positive rate, such as Cava de Guarda Superior, which has experienced growth of more than 100%. Organic cava is another example, with growth of 65%".
Thanks to its long history and specialization in the wine sector, Gràfiques VARIAS has positioned itself as one of the best companies in the graphics sector.
Its facilities, with raw material reception, dispatch, prepress and colorimetry departments, are equipped with the most advanced technology. In addition, the company has spaces intended for the approval or dissemination of new trends, which makes it a benchmark in label and sleeve printing.
In the future, Gràfiques VARIAS wants to continue growing and supporting wine and cava producers. "Our goal is to grow with our customers by printing their labels and adding value to their products, moving forward and adapting to their needs," says the company.
