Over one hundred years of business activity witnesses the ongoing work that allows us to continue making history.
Josep Varias Bou entered the world of business by setting up his own graphic arts company in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, a town near Barcelona.
The company is established as a specialist in printing wet glue labels for wine and cava producers.
Letterpress printing was gradually replaced by offset, which led to a renovation of both the machinery and the facilities.
Josep Varias Sardà, the son of the founder, took over as Director of the company from 1978 to 2006. It was during this period that Gráficas Varias grew from a small graphic arts workshop into an industrial company.
The company moves to its current location in Can Ferrer Industrial Estate, also in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, where it took over a 3,200-square-metre industrial unit. It was at this time that the company introduced a new production line for pressure sensitive labels.
Due to the company’s continuous expansion, in July 1999 it extended its facilities to the current size of 5,200 square meters.
Josep Varias Ribot, grandson of the founder, takes over the management of the company. Significant investments were made to incorporate the most up-to-date label-printing technology and to adapt to the demands of a constantly evolving market.
Modernization of the offices and acquisition of a new production plant in La Rioja, Riojadhesivos.
